- Sue Carol Van Horn, 88, of Riverton, IL, formerly of Lincoln, IL,
passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at Regency Care in
Springfield.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home

Obituary
Sue Carol Van Horn, 88, of Riverton,
IL, formerly of Lincoln, IL, passed away on Tuesday,
August 5, 2025, at Regency Care in Springfield.
Sue was born August 8,1936, in Lincoln, IL, the
daughter of Lawrence and Grayce Margaret (Mammen)
Short.
Sue is survived by her daughters, Kathy Van Horn and
Susan Johnson; grandchildren, Sarah Shaughnessy and
Justin Reynolds; and great-grandchildren, Alex,
Izabelle, and Ethan Taylor, and Carter Reynolds.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers,
Lester, Lowel, Bobby Jay, James, and Thomas Short;
and one sister, Mary Jane Smith. |
A memorial service for Sue will be
held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Visitation will take place one hour prior from 10:00
- 11:00 am also at the funeral home. A burial at St.
Mary’s Cemetery will follow the memorial service.
