Obituary
Norma Mae Schaffenacker, 92, of
Lincoln, IL, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025,
at Springfield Memorial Hospital.
Norma was born August 11, 1933, in Lincoln, the
daughter of Gilbert and Lillian (Kline) Sutton. She
married Lowell C. Schaffenacker on November 21,
1951, in Lincoln. He preceded her in death in 2012.
Norma is survived by her son, Randy (Julia)
Schaffenacker; daughter, Susan (David) Storey;
grandchildren, Curtis (Emily) Clampet, Ollie
(Annette) Clampet, and Deidre (Ben) Schaffenacker;
and great-grandchildren, Hawken, Barrett, and
Lennon.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and
brothers, Marion “Bud”, James, Claude, and Gilbert
Sutton Jr. Norma was the last of her immediate
family.
Norma was a long-time active member of Immanuel
Lutheran Church in Lincoln. She retired in 1995 from
Lincoln Community High School as a cook in the
cafeteria. Most of all, Norma enjoyed spending time
with her family. |
Funeral Services for Norma will be
held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Visitation will take place one hour prior from 10:00
- 11:00 am also at the funeral home. Burial will
follow the service at Zion Cemetery in Lincoln, IL.
Memorials may be made in Norma’s name to Immanuel
Lutheran Church in Lincoln.
