Obituary
Karol Sue Eimer, 80, of New Holland,
IL, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at her
home.
Karol was born on November 24, 1944, in Mattoon, IL,
the daughter of Lulu Jane (Harris) Gaston. On
October 6, 1979, in Lincoln she married the love of
her life, Joseph G. Eimer. He preceded her in death
in April of 2010.
She loved being a nurse and at age 43, she decided
to follow a life dream and continued her life with
the career she loved. Karol lived for taking trips
with her husband from Wisconsin to Tennessee.
Karol is survived by her son, Seth (Audra) Eimer;
daughters, Leigh Ann (Dick) Altman and Rebecca
Parke; like a daughter, Dawn Rigenberg; brother,
John Gaston; seven grandchildren, Holly Shanle,
Eleigh Owen, Michael Owen, Gage Parke, Jared Helton,
Joseph Eimer; and fourteen great-grandchildren. |
She was preceded in death by her
parents, husband, Joseph; son, Larry David Jones;
infant daughter, Lisa Lane Jones; and her siblings,
Vicki Gaston, Penny Allen, and Nancy Gibson.
A burial will be held at a later date
at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lincoln, IL. Memorials may
be made in Karol’s name to Disabled American
Veterans. Cremation rites have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
