[August 25, 2025]  Lincoln 5K sees participants from as far away as Davenport Iowa and O’Fallon in Illinois

Saturday morning was a great day for a 5K in Lincoln. In total, 84 people came out to participate in the run/walk event that followed a course from the Lincoln Park District along Primm Road and Wyatt Avenue to Home Avenue. A quick detour to the end of Home Avenue then back up to Wyatt and on to south Kickapoos up to Scully Park where the finish line awaited.

Each participant received a lanyard with a balloon attached. This year the featured balloon was Good & Plenty, which has been attending the Lincoln Balloons Over 66 event since the beginning.

Other recognitions were given out to the participants according to their finish in their specific class or age category.
