Masonic Lodge #210 host annual
breakfast during Balloons Over 66
[August 25, 2025]
On Saturday, August 23rd, the
Lincoln Masonic Lodge #210 hosted their annual breakfast to coincide
with the Balloons Over 66 weekend. The breakfast was hosted at their
lodge building at 2022 N Kickapoo Street starting at 7:00 a.m. and
running until 10:00 a.m.

The breakfast was $10 for adults
and $5 for kids. It included biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, and
sausage patties. To drink, there was coffee, iced tea, and orange
juice.

Upon entering the lodge, you would
pay your admission at the front table and be given one red ticket
per breakfast you were getting. These red tickets would then be
taken up to the serving window where members of the Masons served
food from crock pots that were keeping the food warm. Masons Nelson
Gulso and Jim White, among others, were serving those who walked up
as other members of the lodge could be seen cooking in the back.

Since last year, Lincoln’s Masons
have a new Worshipful Master, that person being Richard Swan. Swan
could be seen cooking and serving food. He also had a moment or two
to talk about the breakfast. This year is the eighth year the Masons
have hosted this breakfast. In addition to helping upkeep their
building, the money raised from this fundraiser breakfast helps them
to continue the good work the Masons do for the community. Swan said
that the Masons offer scholarships to local students seeking higher
education and help fund reading programs for Lincoln’s youth.

People were coming and going
throughout the morning. Friends gathered at tables with friends,
families could be seen enjoying a meal together, and even two
members of the Lincoln Rural Fire department were enjoying some food
and conversation. Overall, the breakfast seemed to be enjoyed by
all.
