On Friday, August 22nd and Saturday
August 23rd, the Lincoln Public Library hosted their annual book
sale. This yearly book sale coincides with the Balloons Over 66
weekend. The book sale is held each year in the basement of the
library building.

On Saturday, Jan and Ed Jeffries
were present, collecting money and handing out bags. A large paper
grocery bag was able to be purchased for $1. When purchasing one of
these bags, you were allowed to take home as many books as could fit
in the bag.

There were books of all different
categories and genres, ranging from children and fiction to
self-help and educational books. There was a pretty good turn out
around 10:30, with Ed sharing that there was a larger crowd earlier
in the morning. The book sale ran all the way until 3:00 that
afternoon.
