Obituary
William ( Bill)
Kosky, 61, of Emden, IL., passed away December 17,
2025, at St. John's Hospital. Cremation rites have
been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral
Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later
date.
Bill was born September 5, 1964, in Ridgewood, NJ.,
the son of Edmund and Mary Ellen (Briody) Kosky. He
married Michele "Shelley" Giles on March 7, 1992, at
St. Patrick Church of Merna, Bloomington, IL. Bill
was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed triking, frisbee
disc golf, hiking, and fishing. He was also an avid
train enthusiast and a passionate and committed
local auctioneer. Bill was employed as a data
administrator with the Illinois State Police for the
last several years.
Survivors include his mother Mary Ellen Kosky, his
wife Shelley Kosky, siblings: Kathleen "Kate" Fox,
John (Tracey) Kosky, Joseph "Joe" (Laura) Kosky,
Thomas "Tom" (Natalie) Kosky, and James "Jim" Kosky.

Several nieces,
nephews, cousins, extended family members, and
friends also survive.
He was preceded in
death by his father Edmund Kosky.
Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded
Warrior Project or to the Illinois State Police
Heritage Foundation.
