[February 04, 2025]  ROANOKE -  Judith (Judy) Kay Arvin of Eureka passed away Monday January 27, 2025 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Roanoke IL.

Service: There will be private graveside services at Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wapella, Illinois.

Judith (Judy) Kay Arvin of Eureka passed away Monday January 27, 2025 at the Apostolic Christian Home in Roanoke IL.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home.

She was born in Clinton, Illinois on March 9, 1941 to the late Homer A. and Dorothy F. (Stone) Scogin. She married Owen G. Arvin on June 8, 1962.

Judy graduated from Wapella High School in 1959, attended Illinois State University and then Decatur Macon School of Nursing where she graduated in 1963 with a degree in nursing. She worked as a nurse for many years in various locations including Saint Francis NICU Peoria IL, Midwest Kidney Center Dialysis Unit Bloomington IL, and Maple Lawn Nursing Home in Eureka IL.

 

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Dorothy Scogin; Brother, Allan Scogin; Husband, Owen Arvin; and Son, William “Lane” Arvin.

She is survived by her Sister, Rosemary Murphy, Downs IL; sons, Kendrick (Jenny) Arvin of Morton IL, Kevin (Karen) Arvin of Lowpoint IL, and Trent (Shannon) Arvin of Congerville IL, along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

There will be private graveside services at Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wapella, Illinois.
