[February 12, 2025]  LINCOLN -  Donna M. Bradshaw (Flowers) passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield,IL, surrounded by her children and her loving family.

Visitation: Tuesday, February 11, 2025  from 5-7 p.m. at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home

Obituary

Donna M. Bradshaw (Flowers) passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield,IL, surrounded by her children and her loving family.

Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home.

Donna was born on May 15, 1944, The daughter of John and Lillian DeWeese (Stiles).

Donna was a hard worker from a young age and that diligence carried on into her senior years when she finally retired at the age of 73. Donna never met a stranger nor a person she wouldn't lend a helping hand too.

Donna recieved her GED late in life, which lead her on to acquire her food handler's license, and then completing her CNA training. For Donna, being a CNA was her most rewarding job of all.

Donna had many jobs throughout her life as she raised her four children. Donna went from being a waitress at Woolworths, to caring for DD individuals at LDC, she was a driver for many years for the Lincoln Cab Company where she met the love of her life. Donna worked for Canten Food service at Lehn & Fink and drove a motor route for the Lincoln Courier, but the job she loved the most was being a CNA. Donna worked for St Clara’s Manor and Medical Staffing Network as a traveling CNA for over 25 years until she retired due to an on the job injury.

Donna is survived by her four children: daughter Sherri(Rick)kaleff of Lincoln, daughter Anita Bradshaw (Tony Skelton) of Lincoln, son John(Maria) Bradshaw of Mason City, and daughter Linda(Dave)Gleason of Lincoln, her brother Melvin(Mountain Man)DeWeese of Colorado, and a sister charlotte(Dave)McIntyre of Pekin.

Donna was a Grandmother to 14 grandchildren Dennis(Ashley) Robinson, Danielle Robinson(Caleb Roos), Damon Bradshaw, Josey Kiel(Nick Bramblett), Linzy Turner(Jamaal Skelton), Tony Skelton(Little T), John A.(Amilee)Bradshaw, Vicky (Kylie)Bradshaw, Jordon Bradshaw(Alexandra), Selena (Corey)Shanderick, Kelci Hartman(Jordan Gesner), Kolton (Marissa) Hartman, Kyleigh VanCleve, Meaghan Gleason and 23 GREAT grandchildren.

Donna is proceeded in death by her parents, infant twin brothers, her sister Dee and her brother John. But most of all, her love and life long partner and husband of 42 yrs Robert”Bob”Flowers.

Donna was full of life and loved her family, she always made sure that her family stuck together through good and bad times. Donna loved her four legged fur babies just like they were her children, She loved Horses and owned many in her life time while living on the farm. Donna was an avid Bingo player at the Oasis in Lincoln and loved going on trips with her daughter Sherri and son in law Rick. If you all knew Donna then you knew she was fighter! Donna had been fighting bone and breast cancer for the last 30 years of her life.

The Bradshaw family would like to invite all of you that knew our mother or who knew us to come help us say goodbye to this wonderful woman, Mother, wife, sister and friend.

Memorial Donations may be made in her name to the Humane Society of Logan County.
