[February 14, 2025]  The Lincoln Lady Railers lost their final home game of the regular season 42-30 on Thursday night to the Pekin Lady Dragons.

Lincoln could barely buy a basket in the first half while the Lady Dragons were sinking 3s left and right. The first quarter score was 14-8 in favor of Pekin. Makinley Knapp kept Lincoln in the game with six points. The second quarter was not any better for Lincoln. Knapp was the only Lady Railer to score and her four points were no match against three more 3s from the Lady Dragons. The halftime score was not what Lincoln wanted, down 28-12.

There would be no Lincoln comeback in this one. The Lady Railers trailed 36-22 at the end of the third quarter. And while Lincoln did outscore Pekin in the second half, it was still too much to too little to start the game and the Lady Railers had to settle for a 42-30 loss to end the regular season.

Lincoln was led in scoring by Makinley Knapp with 14 points.

Lincoln falls to 18-12 on the season.

The JV team ended their season with a 45-23 loss to Pekin.

The postseason will begin next week.

Lincoln will play Bartonville Limestone on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. at Peoria High School.
