Mount Pulaski defeats Decatur Eisenhower 62-47 on Senior Night

[February 14, 2025]  The Lady Toppers celebrated a win on Senior Night over the Decatur Eisenhower Panthers and they honored one-half of their seniors. Cecelia Davis was sick on Senior Night so Mount Pulaski just got to spotlight Abby Jones in front of the home crowd. Jones would make a basket in the third quarter to put herself in the scorebook and with Alyson Murphy having yet another great game with 29 points, Mount Pulaski came out on top 62-47. 

The Lady Toppers took a 12-11 lead in the first quarter with balanced scoring from their starters. But by halftime the Panthers stole the lead 30-24.

Mount Pulaski outscored the Panthers 25-4 in the third quarter, with Murphy contributing eleven of those points.

That big third quarter was the difference, as both teams tossed in thirteen points in the final quarter. Again Mount Pulaski’s scoring was consistent among everyone on the court and the 62-47 Senior Night win was sweet!

Along with Alyson Murphy’s 29 points, Elayna Marten and Addison Brown each hit double-figures with 11 and 10 points respectively.

Mount Pulaski improved to 19-7 with the win.
