This is McConnell’s second year in a row
wrestling at the state tournament. McConnell finished in second
place at the Class 2A Boys Sectional in Lincoln on Saturday. He
wrestles at 175.
McConnell will compete on Thursday in Champaign at the State
Farm Center in his quest to become a two-time state placer for
Lincoln.
Last year McConnell finished in fourth place in the state,
wrestling at 165.
