The cold and snowy weather did not keep people as 180
people showed up to enjoy playing Glo-Bingo and benefit the
communities of both Hartsburg and Emden.
Christy Cross, who helped coordinate the event, said the money
raised will go towards the “enhancement of events and beautification
of both communities.”
Before the games started, many people purchased
tickets for a 50-50 drawing and raffle tickets to place in one of
the 15 raffle baskets donated by several individuals and businesses.
Several event sponsors also donated money for over $1000 in cash
prizes players could win.
The Emcee, who calls himself Glo-Rider, was dressed
in a neon pink and green suit, making him easy to spot. He engaged
with the crowd as he called out the Bingo numbers.

Players wore brightly colored glo-hats and used neon
daubers to mark their cards.
As everyone played Glo-Bingo, a DJ played lively music to add even
more fun and excitement to the event.
For the first game, the cash prize was $100. Three
people shouted Bingo at the same time. After their cards were
checked for accuracy, the prize was split three ways, with each of
the winners receiving $33.
With all the games plus chances to win cash prizes, a 50-50 drawing
or one of the raffle baskets, Glo-Bingo provided a night of fun for
many who braved the weather.
