							Obituary  
							 
							Born Beverly Jean Nordyke on July 4, 
							1928 in Grand Rapids, Michigan she was the only 
							daughter of Harry and Jean Nordyke. Beverly married 
							Ivan Louis Grussing in Lincoln, IL in 1952, he 
							preceded her in death in 1975. Also preceding 
							Beverly in death were husband George Caldwell 
							(married in 1978), husband Robert Albert (married in 
							2010), son Craig Stinson, grandson Tim McCraw, and 
							brothers Barry Nordyke and Tom Nordyke. 
							 
							Beverly graduated from Ottawa Hills High in Grand 
							Rapids in 1945 and attended Lincoln Land Community 
							College. The village of Elkhart, IL was dear to 
							Beverly, and she made the community her home for 
							over 70 years. She retired from Elkhart Grade School 
							as the school secretary in 1983 after 23 years. 
							Beverly served on the board of the Elkhart Public 
							Library and belonged to the Elkhart Legion Auxiliary 
							as well as the Elkhart Historical Society. 
							 
							Beverly, lovingly referred to as Bev by most that 
							knew her, enjoyed many things but her most treasured 
							moments were spent sharing time with friends and 
							family. She found great joy in flipping houses, 
							playing and winning countless hands of cards, and 
							loved gardening and reading. Beverly attended 
							Elkhart Methodist Church for 34 years, until its 
							closure in May of 2024. She served as a church 
							trustee for many years. 
							 
							Beverly is survived by her daughters 
							Linda Buttell of Lincoln and Diana Ott of Peoria and 
							three sisters-in-law, Marianna Lessen of 
							Bloomington, Fran Nordyke of Fowlerville, MI, and 
							Dotti Nordyke of Louisville, KY.

							Beverly is also survived by her 
							grandchildren Dax Stinson, Jenny (Adam) Greenblatt, 
							Josh (Casey) Gray, Erica (Eric) Eimer, Betsy (Noah 
							Herman) Buttell, Mark (Cyra) Buttell, Jeremy 
							(Margaret) Ott, Brittany Magner, and Molly Buttell, 
							her great grandchildren, Audra, Bailey, Harper, 
							Lillian, Annily, Ethan, Carlie, Scarlett, Roscoe, 
							Eminence, Ari, Ryan, Jane, Ruth, Joey, and Beck and 
							one great-great granddaughter Jade. Beverly remained 
							close with Bob Albert’s children Linda Sheley, Diana 
							(John) Lally, Sue (Bill) Streiche, Gayle Caskey, 
							Mike Albert, and grandson Matt Lally. 
							 
							Funeral services for Beverly will take place at 
							Elkhart Christian Church on Wednesday, February 12, 
							2025 at 11:00 AM with a visitation two hours prior. 
							Burial services will immediately follow at Elkhart 
							Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to join in 
							a luncheon at Elkhart Fellowship Community Center 
							following the burial service.  
							 
							Memorial donations can be made to Elkhart Christian 
							Church, Elkhart Rural Fire Department, or Elkhart 
							Public Library. Arrangements have been entrusted to 
							Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
