Lowell was born March 1, 1932, in Lincoln, Il., the
son of Leon Lowell Molt and Reva Bernadine (Scroggin).
He married Shirley (Rogers) on June 17, 1951. He
proudly served his country in the United States
Army. Lowell worked at Stetson China, Cotton
Mechanical, and Lincoln Developmental Center. Most
notably, he was a steamfitter for over 50 years and
he was a commercial fisherman on the Mississippi
River for over 25 years. He caught and cleaned
40,000 pounds of fish during his last year, at the

tool to make life easier. He was a gifted designer
and builder and enjoyed fishing and hunting in what
little free time he had. Lowell was respected in his
community and was known to always lend a helping
hand. He will be sadly missed and by all who knew
