[February 20, 2025]  LINCOLN -  Phyllis Eileen Danosky, 91, of Lincoln, passed away February 14, 2025 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

Service: A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home

Phyllis Eileen Danosky, 91, of Lincoln, passed away February 14, 2025 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Benett Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 11 AM March 8, 2025 at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home.

Phyllis was born September 10, 1933, in Frankfort, IN., the daughter of Bert Hollis Abner and Rowena Evelyn (Hinds) Abner. She married John F. Danosky on February 16, 1963. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1997. Phyllis retired from Lincoln Developmental Center. She had a very strong faith and loved her family and friends fiercely. She enjoyed reading and loved animals.

Survivors include her children: Joseph Danosky (Brenda), Bill Danosky (Alexis Schopp), David Danosky (Jenny), and Julie Danosky; grandchildren: Zachary, Anthony, Jordyn, Wyatt, Maddie, Alex, Maxwell, Cameron, Shane, Shelby, and Andrew; great-grandchidren: Harrison, Stella, Jaxson, Stetson, and Azaio.


She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Debra, brother Robert Abner and daughter-in-law Christina Carson Danosky.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Logan County Animal Control or the Dementia Society of America.
