[February 20, 2025]    Many Lincoln residents will remember the Health Fair that the Lincoln Park District (LPD) hosted for many years, featuring health information, free screenings, and door prizes.

This spring it is making a comeback with what LPD Fitness Manager Jennifer Prather calls “a holistic approach to wellness.” The Elevate Your Wellness Expo at the LPD on Saturday, March 1 will feature vendors offering resources on emotional, physical, financial, and social well-being.

Over 50 wellness and community organization vendors will be set up on the indoor tennis courts at the LPD from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for the public to explore a variety of health, inspiration, and community wellness resources. The Elevate Your Wellness Expo is an excellent opportunity for attendees to explore various local wellness businesses and organizations. From multiple departments of Lincoln Memorial Health, to members of the LMH Community Health Collaborative, representatives of the Logan County Department of Public Health, chiropractors, nursing homes, wellness centers, dentists, eye care centers, counseling services, food pantries, fitness and nutrition professionals, and much more - there will be something for everyone at the Wellness Expo.

Join the LPD for activities that morning, including food demonstrations from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. led by nutritionist Sarah Swaar. From 10 a.m. to noon, the Lincoln Park District Foundation will be selling delicious Avanti’s gondola sandwiches in the newly remodeled ballroom as a fundraiser to support swim lesson scholarships, Independence Day fireworks, as well as other events and services of the LPD Foundation.

From healthcare and counseling to nutrition and fitness, Elevate Your Wellness Expo is an excellent chance to connect, learn, and invest in you and your family’s well-being. The LPD is located at 1400 Primm Road (next to Lincoln Community High School) in Lincoln. The mission of the Lincoln Park District is “to enhance the quality and availability of leisure opportunities to meet the diverse needs of the community by providing recreational programs, facilities and park areas for the benefit of current and future generations.”
