It was an uphill battle all night long for the
Wolverines, who trailed 13-2 at the end of the first quarter.
By halftime WLB was down 22-6.
To make matters worse the Wolverines scored in single-digits in
each of the first three quarters and found themselves in a big
hole, down 34-9 as the third quarter ended.
The 38-21 loss was a tough one for these eighth graders, who
finished the season with a 26-4 record, but still they finished
as the second-best team in Class 1A in the state of Illinois.
Peoria St. Jude finished the season with a 28-2 record.
Congratulations, Wolverines, on bringing more hardware back to
Lincoln!
