Community Action Partnership of Central
Illinois (CAPCIL) invites you to be a part of history at the Last
Bite—the final Cheeseburger in Paradise fundraiser, celebrating 20
incredible years of community impact. Mark your calendar for
Saturday, April 26, 2025, and join us at the Lincoln Banquet Center
from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for this unforgettable event.
This beloved tradition has been the social event of the year,
raising vital funds for CAPCIL’s poverty-fighting initiatives. Over
two decades, Cheeseburger in Paradise has generated an average of
$25,000 annually, with last year’s event raising a record-breaking
$36,000.
“This event has been a cornerstone of our fundraising efforts,
providing critical resources to maintain program success, respond to
emergencies, and bridge gaps during funding delays,” said Breann
Titus, CAPCIL’s Chief Visionary Officer. “We’re thrilled to
celebrate its legacy and encourage everyone to join us for the Last
Bite of this amazing tradition.”
Guests will indulge in all-you-can-eat cheeseburgers,
savory chicken wings, and refreshing drink specials while enjoying
live entertainment by J Christopher, ‘The World’s Most Dangerous
One-Man Band.’ The evening will also feature a live auction, a
virtual silent auction, the Big Kahuna raffle, and a 50/50 drawing.
For this final event, CAPCIL is introducing an exciting new
opportunity: auction item sponsorships. Instead of donating items
directly, sponsors can contribute funds that CAPCIL will use to
purchase auction items from local businesses within the agency’s
six-county service area. Sponsors will be credited for their
contributions, supporting local economies while contributing to a
great cause.
