A visitation will be held on

Lincoln, from 11am-12pm. A celebration of Donny’s
life will follow the visitation at the church. The
family asks that you wear Nascar attire in honor of
Donny’s love for racing.

Obituary
Donald "Donny" Lyons passed away
December 27th, 2024, in Lincoln. He was born June
24, 1962, in Columbia, MO, the son of Loyd & Wanda
(Eastwood) Lyons.
Donny is survived by his loving wife, JoDee;
cherished daughter, Jamaica Madigan; son-in-law,
Thomas Madigan; grandchildren and partners in crime,
Wyatt and Kaylynn; siblings, Wanda (Randy) Mileham,
Stephen Lee Lyons, Barry Lee (Thelma) Lyons, Dan Lee
(Sandy) Lyons; 17 nieces and nephews; 30
great-nieces and nephews; and many brothers and
sisters in Christ.
Donny was preceded in death by his parents.
Throughout his life Donny lived in many states in
the South and Midwest and made many friends who
became family. He did not know a stranger and was
known for his kind, servant heart.
He was a skilled tradesman - roofing, building, and
remodeling many homes, especially being known for
building beautiful staircases because of his
mathematical abilities. |
Donny was a member of Open Arms
Church, he loved serving at every community event,
and using his God given talents around his church
and for his fellow church members.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11,
2025, at Open Arms Church in Lincoln, from
11am-12pm. A celebration of Donny’s life will follow
the visitation at the church. The family asks that
you wear Nascar attire in honor of Donny’s love for
racing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made
in Donny's name to Open Arms' Celebrate Recovery.
Cremation rites have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
