[January 09, 2025]  LINCOLN - Rodney D. “Rod” Henrichsmeyer, 50, of Lincoln, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital

Visitation:  Sunday, January 12 from 1 - 4 p.m at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln

Service:  Sunday, January 12 at 4 p.m. following visitation

Obituary

Rodney D. “Rod” Henrichsmeyer, 50, of Lincoln, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

Rod was born June 21, 1974, in Lincoln, IL, the son of David and Patricia (Leimbach) Henrichsmeyer. He married Sandra Hensley on January 10, 2015, in Lincoln, they shared 23 years together. She survives in Lincoln.

Rod is also survived by his parents; his brothers, Erik Henrichsmeyer and Nicholas (Amanda) Henrichsmeyer; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Rod was an avid Chicago Cubs fan; he enjoyed bowling with his bowling league in Lincoln. He also found peace on a lake fishing and out on the golf courses with his friends. Rod had a passion for music and was an accomplished DJ when he was in college, he was also a talented saxophone player.

Rod graduated from Western Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in economics and marketing; he used his degree and became the store Manager of Wendy’s in Lincoln for many years where his kindness and patience with people was well known by his employees and customers alike.

A memorial service for Rod will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will take place prior, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm also at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in Rod’s name to Gift of Hope or the American Diabetes Association.
