							Obituary 
							Rodney W. Brooks, 56, of Atlanta, 
							passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Carle 
							BroMenn Medical Center in Normal. 
							 
							Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025, 
							at the Atlanta Christian Church from 2:00 p.m. – 
							4:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to the funeral on 
							Monday. Friends and family are encouraged to bring 
							photos of Rodney to donate to photo boards. 
							 
							Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 13, 
							2025, at the Atlanta Christian Church at 11:00 a.m. 
							with Pastor Paul Weber and Pastor Doug Lowery 
							officiating. Friends and family are encouraged to 
							prepare favorite memories or stories to share during 
							the service. 
							 
							Cremation Rites will be accorded following the 
							funeral services and burial at the Atlanta Cemetery 
							will be at a later date. 
							 
							Rodney Wayne Brooks was born September 20, 1968, the 
							son of Danny and Linda Halsey Brooks. 
							He is survived by one son, Caedan (Layney Kelly) 
							Brooks; his mother, Linda Brooks; two grandsons: 
							Abel Brooks and Holdyn Pentecost; two brothers: 
							Keith (Kim) Brooks and Bradley (Gina) Brooks; the 
							mother of his children, Angela Brooks; one niece, 
							Rebecca (Max) Van Rheeden; two nephews: Austin 
							Brooks and Jack Brooks; girlfriend, Julie Oldham.  | 
							
							 
                
				  
							Rodney was preceded in death by one 
							son, Jordan Brooks and his father, Danny Brooks. 
							 
							Rodney was a 1986 graduate of Olympia High School 
							and trained in Graphic Design at ACT. He had worked 
							at Growmark in Bloomington, as a Belcan contractor 
							at Caterpillar in Decatur and Peoria, and most 
							recently as an Engineer at MMS in Tremont. He loved 
							dogs, golfing, fishing, riding dirt bikes, car 
							shows, and especially time with his family. 
							 
							Memorials may be made to Atlanta Food Bank, 
							Maranatha Church in Decatur, or American Diabetes 
							Association. 
							 
							Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley 
							Funeral Home of Atlanta.
