Obituary
Terry M. Overbey, 69, of Atlanta,
passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 14,
2025.
Services for Terry will be held on Saturday, January
18, 2025, at the Atlanta Christian Church.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. A
Memorial Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Mr.
Maurice Stribling officiating. Cremation Rites have
been accorded.
Terry Michael Overbey was born December 23, 1955, in
Lincoln, the son of Cyril D. and Edna J. Upton
Overbey. He was united in marriage to Theresa Hopp
on May 4, 1974. She survives.
Terry is also survived by their children: Catherine
(Andrew Koke) Overbey, Terry Overbey, II, and Justin
(Katie) Overbey; five grandchildren: Caitlyn (Josh)
Schauer, Carli (Zach) Bullock, Connor Overbey,
Haylee Overbey, and Mikayla Overbey; four
great-grandchildren: Brinleigh, Jacob, Aria and
Madilynn; and one sister, Linda Overbey.

He was preceded in death by one son,
Jacob A. Overbey; one brother, Ralph Stone and one
sister, Dianna Overbey.
Terry retired from Weyerhauser in
Lincoln and then fulfilled a dream of driving a semi
for a few years. He was a member of the Atlanta
Christian Church. Terry enjoyed reading and watching
NASCAR and John Wayne movies.
Memorials may be made to his family, in care of
Catherine Overbey.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley
Funeral Home of Atlanta.
