Addison “Boodah” Brown was making a statement
early for the Lady Toppers, pouring in nine points and helping
her team to a 13-5 first quarter lead.
Alyson Murphy led the scoring attack in the second quarter with
six points and Mount Pulaski was up 24-11 at the half.
Elayna Marten kept the party rolling with five points in the
third quarter and with help from fellow partygoers Audrey
Cooper, Piper Tyson and Murphy the small purple and gold school
was winning 35-16.
Marten also hit a three-pointer in the fourth quarter to reach
double-digits in scoring. She would end up with 10 points, as
would her teammate Alyson Murphy.
Nine Lady Toppers entered the scoring column against the Bullets
en route to the 44-19 win.
Addison Brown led all scorers with 12 points.
Mount Pulaski will play at Illini Bluffs Thursday night. The JV
game is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. The Varsity game is scheduled
for 7:30 p.m.
