[January 21, 2025]   FORT COLLINS – Colorado State’s Kloe Froebe posted numbers that no other freshman in the nation has this season and earned a one-way ticket to being named the Mountain West Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Week, which was announced by the league Monday morning.

Froebe led Colorado State to a road win over San Diego State (Jan. 15) with a monster stat line of 18 points and 18 rebounds, becoming the only freshman in Division I women’s basketball to post those numbers in a game this season. Additionally, the 5-foot-8 Froebe is the only freshman guard to post such numbers since 2019.

For the week, the Lincoln, Ill., native averaged 12.5 points, 12.0 points and 2.5 steals per game across two starts, playing an average of 33.0 minutes per game. Of her 24 rebounds, seven came on the offensive end of the floor including four against the Aztecs.

This is the second time this season Froebe has been named the league’s freshman of the week as she captured it for the first time on Nov. 18. Prior to the start of the season, Froebe was named the MW Preseason Freshman of the Year.

Colorado State is back in action this week with two games on the Front Range. The Rams take on Boise State in Moby Arena on Tuesday (Jan. 21) before heading up the road to face Wyoming on Saturday (Jan. 25).
