West Lincoln Broadwell wins 7th Grade Logan County Tournament 

[January 22, 2025]  The West Lincoln Broadwell Wolverines defeated the Chester East Lincoln Panthers 48-16 to win the 2025 7th Grade Logan County Championship on Thursday night at Mount Pulaski High School. 

Griffen Cross and Kruz Froebe each sank 3s in the opening quarter to guide the Wolverines to a 10-2 lead.

Froebe had another three-point bucket in the second quarter but it was Colby Bowman with the hot hand, pouring in 12 points as the Wolverines stretched the lead to 27-6.

Bowman, Cross and Keilin Sales each scored five points in the third quarter as the lead grew to 44-12.

Froebe and Makai Harris finished with a basket each in the fourth quarter and the Wolverines cruised to the county championship 48-16.

Colby Bowman led the Wolverines with 20 points.

Kruz Froebe tallied 10 points in the win.

In the semifinal game of the county tournament, WLB defeated Mount Pulaski 50-38.

Kruz Froebe led all scorers in that game with 20 points.
