Assignments and Retains Leadership Role

Springfield, IL— As lawmakers return to the
Capitol for the first week of legislative action since the January
8th inauguration, State Senator Sally Turner (R-Beason) has
announced her committee assignments for the 104th General Assembly
and the continuation of her leadership role within the Illinois
Senate Republican Caucus as the Republican Caucus Whip.
“I am deeply honored to retain my leadership position within the
Senate Republican Caucus,” said Senator Turner. “Serving as
Republican Caucus Whip is a privilege, and I remain dedicated to
being a strong advocate for our Caucus and the citizens of
Illinois.”
Senator Turner will serve on several key Senate committees for the
104th General Assembly, including:
Agriculture
Appropriations
Appropriations – Education
Child Welfare
Local Government
Revenue
State Government (Minority Spokesperson)

“These committee assignments allow me to address critical issues
such as supporting our farmers as well as ensuring fiscal
responsibility,” continued Senator Turner. “As we begin
legislative work this week, I am eager to continue championing
policies that benefit the people of Central Illinois and the
entire state of Illinois.”
Senator Turner, who has served in the Illinois Senate since
2021, represents the 44th Senate District, which encompasses all
or parts of DeWitt, Livingston, Logan, Macon, Mason, McLean,
Piatt, Sangamon, Tazewell, and Woodford counties.
