							Obituary 
							Linda Kay Johnson, 80, of Gulf 
							Shores, AL, passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2025.
 Private graveside services will be held at a later 
							date at the McLean Cemetery with Mr. Maurice 
							Stribling officiating. Cremation Rites have been 
							accorded.
 
 Linda Kay Gordon was born on February 15, 1945, in 
							Bloomington, Illinois, the daughter of Claude M. and 
							Ella V. Edwards Gordon. She married and divorced 
							Gene Johnson, who is deceased.
 
 She is survived by her daughter: Pam (Jeff) Beach; 
							two granddaughters: Taylor (Matt) Aranda and Lexi 
							(Geoffrey) Gammon; three great-grandchildren: Owen 
							and Ella Aranda, and Jensen Gammon; her sister Jean 
							Bell; her brother Dennis Gordon; many loved nieces, 
							nephews, cousins and friends everywhere she went; 
							and a special caregiver in Alabama, Cephia 
							Blackwell.
 
 She was preceded in death by her infant son Bruce 
							Johnson, her parents, two brothers: Lawrence and 
							Melvin Gordon, and one sister: Sue Steward.
 
							Linda had a beautiful smile and soul. 
							She was a special, sweet lady who enjoyed life to 
							the fullest. Linda was a true nurturer, a spoiler at 
							heart. | 
                
				 
							Being a mother was her proudest 
							moment and being Grandma Linda was her true calling. 
							Her life was complete. 
 Linda suffered from Alzheimer’s.
 
							Linda had been employed at Nestle 
							Beich Candy Factory in Bloomington.
 In lieu of flowers, please do a random act of 
							kindness in Linda’s honor. Linda would say, “It is 
							nice to be important, but it more important to be 
							nice.”
 
 Funeral arrangements are entrusted with 
							Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta, IL.
