passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024, at her home.

graveside service for Melisa will take place at
11:00 AM, Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Elkhart Cemetery
in Elkhart, IL.

Obituary
Melisa A. (Cherry) Beal, 60, of
Mechanicsburg, IL, passed away on Friday, December
6, 2024, at her home.
Melisa was born January 2, 1964, in Springfield, IL.
The daughter of Everett E. “Ed” and Marilyn Kay
(Wise) Cherry. She married Michael Beal in 2005.
Melisa is survived by her husband, Mike; three
children, Chris (Kristy) Maus, Brittney (Rory)
Taylor, and Jessie (Zach) Tremaine; her step-son,
Isaiah Shepherd; ten grandchildren; her siblings,
Rebecca (Joseph) Simko, Laura (Robb) Hanner, Scott
(Hillary) Cherry, and Robert (Callie) Cherry; as
well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and
friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents. |
Melisa worked as a GI technician at
Springfield Memorial Hospital for 28 years. She also
enjoyed spending time playing video poker games.
A graveside service for Melisa will take place at
11:00 AM, Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Elkhart
Cemetery in Elkhart, IL. Cremation rites have been
entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Mt. Pulaski, IL.
