Service: A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home

Jimmy Wayne Benedict, 64, of Lincoln, passed away Jue 1, 2025 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry & Bennett Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 2PM at the funeral home.

Jimmy was born October 8, 1960, in Chicago, IL., the son of Lyle Benedict Sr. and Lynda M. (Duniven) Tourville. He was a plumber by trade. Jimmy was a funny guy; he always had a joke to tell. He was an avid collector.........of literally everything. He loved to go to yard sales and thrift shops. He enjoyed karaoke and liked to go fishing with his kids. He loved being with his family.

Survivors include his mother Lynda M. Tourville; his children: Jason Benedict (Nicole), Josh Benedict, Lynda Benedict, Little Jimmy Benedict and his bonus kids Richard Nicholas and John Lee; grandkids: Benjamin, Lyndsi (David), Lora, Ronnie, Dana, Allah, Blaine, Heaven,

Urijah, Kayden, Jr., Jax, and Tritty; great granddaughter Vivienne; siblings: Lyle Benedict, Darrell Benedict, and Sean Tourville; nieces and nephews: Samantha, Angela, J.C., Jessie, Baby Lyle, Shannon, and Shane. Several great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his father, sister Kathy Sherrer, love of his life Bernice Benedict, and great niece Kiara McCaine
