- Alice E. Merreighn, 95, of Lincoln, IL, passed away
on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at her home.

A private graveside service will be held at Zion
Cemetery in Lincoln.

Obituary
Alice E. Merreighn, 95, of Lincoln,
IL, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at her
home.
Alice was born June 18, 1929, in Clinton, IL, the
daughter of Jacob and Maddie (Coffman) Bowman. She
married Robert F. Merreighn on December 4, 1954, in
Lincoln. He preceded her in death in 2006.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Jan (Bob) Hashman;
grandchildren, Chris (Jane) Whiteman and Deanna
Wilson; great-grandchildren, Stephanie White, Taylor
Whiteman, Jade Peacock, Brathan Whiteman, and Serina
Whiteman; several great-great-grandchildren; and her
best friend, Penny the Boston Terrier.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband,
Robert; and daughter, Christina Merreighn. |
Alice was a member of Zion Lutheran
Church of Lincoln. She loved to play cards at the
Oasis Senior Center.
A private graveside service will be held at Zion
Cemetery in Lincoln. Memorials may be made in
Alice’s name to Zion Lutheran Church, Lincoln.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
