The cool morning weather did not
keep kids away Thursday, June 5, as the Lincoln Public Library
kicked off its summer reading program with foam cannon fun on the
			Carnegie lawn.

			Children were joyfully running
through the foam being sprayed out of the cannon.

Several were covered from head to
toe with foam. Others looked like they had foam boots on. Some also
had crazy hairdos created by the foamy bubbles.

			foam party

With upbeat music playing, a few children danced around in the foam.

			Patrick Gettleman and Angie Carter
of United Community Bank provided donuts, water and capri sun for
			the children.

When the children were not running
through the foam, there was a line of children and a few adults
waiting to get a donut. Since all the donuts were gone by the end of
the morning, the children appeared to enjoy the sweet treat.

			This year’s summer reading program
theme is Oceans of possibilities. The windows of the children’s
library and the inside of the annex had ocean related decorations.
