Obituary
John D. Tabor, 61, of Lincoln,
passed away at his home surrounded by family on June
7, 2025.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until 12 Noon
Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Holland Barry & Bennett
funeral home with funeral services officiated by
Ryan Edgecombe at 12 Noon. Burial will follow in
Richmond Grove Cemetery, New Holland.
John was born November 20, 1963, in Lincoln, IL.,
the son of Albert Duane Tabor and Kathleen (Howe)
Tabor. He married Amy Johnson on November 22, 1986.
He was a welder by trade and was formerly employed
at Thrall Car in Clinton, Caterpillar, and most
recently Rivian. He was very patriotic, was a
history buff and an outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing,
shooting, golf, wood working, and tinkering in the
garage. He loved to watch his boys play ball.

Survivors include his wife Amy Tabor,
sons Ethan (Maddie) Tabor and Andrew Tabor; grandson
Nash Tabor, brother Todd (Julie) Tabor, and several
nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his
parents.
Memorial donations may be made to the CIVC Tiny Home
project for Veterans.
