Proceeds from the breakfast go toward the spring and
summer tours of Heartsong (5th through 8th grade) and Good News (9th
through 12 grade) choirs. All choir students are required to pitch
in with the work of serving and cleaning up the ultimate breakfast
to support their choir tours.
Delicious aromas wafted through the LCC Fellowship Center and beyond
while people waited in line for freshly made pancakes, bacon from J
& M Meats, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, sausage, biscuits &
gravy, orange juice, and iced tea. Carryouts were also available.
Attendees had only themselves to blame if they left still hungry.

Volunteers worked all day Thursday and Friday to
begin preparing food and, after a break for Railers basketball,
started at 10:30 p.m. Friday night and cooked through the night to
have breakfast ready at 7 a.m. Saturday. Choir students and other
volunteers served 2000 slices of bacon, 254 pounds of sausage, 28
gallons of orange juice, and had the capacity to cook up 1955
pancakes.
Choir director and LCC Worship Minister Laurin Hill said, “Thanks to
our church and the community for helping our student choirs to be
able to go out and share the good news of Jesus Christ and to be
able to travel and sing.” Many choir parents and other sponsors
could be found manning the griddle, serving the food, and washing
dishes. “We appreciated everyone helping out,” Hill said.

tour this year with concerts in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and
Indiana. They will fill their tour bus with 28 students and 11 adult
sponsors.
