Letter of Support for Alderman Steve Parrott

Dear Fellow Residents of Ward 1:

I hope that this letter finds you doing well. I recently attended the Lincoln Day Dinner that was held on February 6” at the Legion. If you weren't there, you sure missed out. The Logan County Central Committee (Republican Party) did a wonderful job working on this dinner. A big THANK YOU to those who made that evening possible. It was an opportunity to meet some great folks and converse over a wonderful dinner provided by Flossie's. It was also an opportunity to meet the local candidates that are running for public office; each candidate was given time to address the attendees and spread their campaign message.

In my opinion, Alderman Parrott delivered one of the most heartfelt speeches. It was moving to hear his story when he and his wife chose this community to call home and raise their 3 daughters. I am a strong supporter of our current Alderman, Steve Parrott. Mr. Parrott has been an alderman for several years now and has done a great job of being prepared regarding key issues that the City is facing, asking challenging questions, and never shying away from controversial items even when they may be unpopular. I know that Alderman Parrott has always acted in the best interests of the Lincoln taxpayers and particularly Ward 1 residents. In fact, Steve Parrott is more than just my Alderman, he is also my neigh bor. The Parrott’s are great neighbors and are the kind of people that you want to be involved in your local community and to serve on the City Council.

[to top of second column]

As many may know, there are sometimes controversial items that come before the City Council. Some of the items we may not all agree with. I've called Alderman Parrott before in the past and expressed my concerns about various issues and Alderman Parrott has always addressed my concerns. In the event he doesn't have an answer to my question, he will research the issue and follow up with me. Alderman Parrott has always been available for me and has taken time out of his schedule to meet on short notice if something has come up. Alderman Parrott has the time to devote himself to the City and to the residents of Ward 1.

I know that Alderman Parrott will continue to represent and serve the residents of Ward 1 should he be re-elected. Alderman Parrott has diligently represented Ward 1, ensuring fair representation during City Council meetings. As you prepare to vote, please consider the dedication and time Alderman Parrott has devoted to serving the residents of Ward 1. I intend to cast my Vote for Mr. Parrott, who is my neighbor, friend, and Alderman.

Jackie Campbell
