Litchfield defeats Mount Pulaski 10-2

[March 24, 2025]  The only bright spot in Mount Pulaski’s 10-2 loss on Friday night at Litchfield was a two-run homer by Aaron Volle.   

 

Volle homered on the first pitch, after Carter Clark had walked on four consecutive pitches in the top of the sixth inning.

Mount Pulaski’s rough Friday night in Litchfield saw the team record just four hits.

Volle and Eric Cooper each shared Mount Pulaski’s four hits.

As a team the Hilltoppers committed seven errors and struck out 14 times.

Luke Martin took the loss for Mount Pulaski. He worked four innings, allowing two runs and two hits. He struck out six batters.

Jaeden Jackson was touched for six runs on two hits in relief. He recorded one out while walking one batter.

Carter Clark worked an inning, giving up two runs.

Chase Roberts pitched to two batters in the bottom of the sixth inning, striking out both.

Mount Pulaski will play at Central A & M at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
