Stan started the group nearly 12 years ago, gathering other
talented musicians to play with him in Havana and everything
more or less just fell perfectly into place, often drawing
hundreds for a monthly concert that many have likened to a party
with an abundance of friends.
"It
all started with just the right people at just the right time,
all coming together," notes Edwards, "it's time, and you can't
stop Father Time."
While this is the end of a chapter, it isn't the end of the
story for River City Country Opry, as the group will continue to
perform under the leadership of singer Rhonda Brown.
This live concert begins at 6:30pm, with doors opening at 5:45.
Concessions will be available, and tickets are $10 at the door
(ages 12 and under are free).
