[May 10, 2025]  LINCOLN - Daniel Joseph Catuara, 67, of Lincoln, IL, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

Visitation:  Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 10 - 11 a.m. at Atlanta Assembly Church in Atlanta, IL.

Service:  Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 11 a.m. also at the church

Obituary

Daniel Joseph Catuara, 67, of Lincoln, IL, passed away on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

Daniel was born December 22, 1957, in Chicago, IL, the son of Joseph and Joan (Schleicher) Catuara. He and Lorraine Lewis were united in holy matrimony on April 5, 2012, but shared 20 years together.

“Dan the man” was a positive, fun loving, and down to earth person that didn’t mind helping anyone. For many years he worked for the Cook County Jail and was also a well-established carpenter.

Danny is survived by his loving wife Lorraine; two stepsons, William and Dionte Taylor; his only grandson, Malachi Taylor; sister, Dawn Catuara; uncle, Ross (Annette); five brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and best friend, Carl Barger.

 

Funeral services for Daniel will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Atlanta Assembly Church in Atlanta, IL. Visitation will take place one hour prior, from 10:00 - 11:00 am, also at the church. A burial will follow the service at New Union Cemetery in Lincoln, IL. Donations can be made to the family in ℅ Lorraine Lewis to assist with expenses. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
