Obituary
Christie “Chris” Lynne (Humphres)
Rath, 63 of Elkhart, IL passed away peacefully on
Tuesday, May 6, 2025 in her home.
Chris was born on February 5, 1962 in Springfield,
IL, the first born daughter of Wm. Morris & Vera (Yocom)
Humphres. She married Jim Fuller on February 14,
1982; she later married Kevin Rath in 1999.
Chris is survived by her children, Jake Fuller,
Jennifer Fuller, and Clay Rath; her grandchildren,
Kayley, Wyllyam, Vyolett, and Mytchel; her siblings,
Marsha (Scott) Humphres-Doerr and Kevin (Wendy)
Humphres. Additionally, Chris is survived by several
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Chris was a custodian at Zion Lutheran Church and
School. Chris’ greatest passion was for her children
and grandchildren. She enjoyed taking care of others
young and old alike.
In Chris’ free time, you could find
her watching crime shows and tending to her pets,
Reba, Blue, Willow, and other family pets in need.

In the summertime, she found peace
taking care of the flowers she and her mother
planted together on the family homestead. She also
enjoyed riding around Elkhart in her golf cart and
having her patio talks with friends and family.
Above all else, Chris loved that her family lived
close (within a golf cart ride) to each other and
how much time she was able to spend with them.
Services for Chris will be held at
11:00 am on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader funeral home in Mt. Pulaski,
IL. Visitation will take place two hours prior to
the service (9:00-11:00 am) also at the funeral
home. Burial will follow the services at Elkhart
Cemetery in Elkhart, IL. Memorial donations may be
made in Chris’ name to Needs & Goals (NAG) in
Elkhart, IL or the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
