[May 13, 2025]  LINCOLN - Kenneth Gene “Kenny” Wolpert, 84, of Lincoln, IL (formerly of Beason), passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Lincoln Village Healthcare.

Service:  A celebration of Kenny’s life will be held at a later date.

Kenneth Gene “Kenny” Wolpert, 84, of Lincoln, IL (formerly of Beason), passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Lincoln Village Healthcare.

Kenny was born on September 6, 1940, in Lincoln, IL, the son of Marion C. and Louise (Koester) Wolpert. He married Joyce Marie Brigman on September 29, 1962, in Lincoln, IL. She preceded him in death in 2016.

Kenny is survived by his sons, Terry Wolpert and Ronald (Ann) Wolpert; daughter, Melissa (Richard) Macias; grandchildren, Tyler Wolpert, Chad Wolpert, Lauren Maslowski, Katie Wolpert, Kelsey Dias, and Jessica Dias; his siblings, Donald Wolpert, Marilyn Greathouse, and Joan Piller; several nieces and nephews; cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie; his brothers, Charles, Alvin “Bodge”, Larry, and Robert “Pa”; and his sister, Patricia.

Kenny was a member of the Lincoln Eagles Lodge #2708 and a past member of the Lincoln Moose Lodge (both where he enjoyed having a cold one). He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears fan. Most of all, Kenny loved being with his family.

A celebration of Kenny’s life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in Kenny’s name to Lincoln Eagles Lodge #2708. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
