Jaeden Jackson worked three and two-thirds innings, giving up five hits and three runs. He struck out three batters.

The Ducks struck for three runs in the top of the sixth inning.

Carter Clark worked two-thirds of an inning, giving up two runs on three walks in the seventh inning.

Chance Payne took the mound for the first time this season, pitching to the final two batters for Havana. Payne walked one and struck out one to end the inning.

The Ducks had nine hits and one error in the game.

Mount Pulaski managed just two hits and committed two errors in the game.

Liam Smith and Luke Martin each singled but with 10 strikeouts in the game, the Hilltoppers were simply having a tough day at the plate.

Carter Brooks pitched the complete game shutout for Havana. Two hits, two walks and ten strikeouts was a pretty impressive stat line against a typically high-scoring Mount Pulaski team.

Mount Pulaski falls to 18-5 on the season.

The Hilltoppers will play at El Paso-Gridley today at 4:30 p.m.
