[May 20, 2025]  ATLANTA - With great sadness, the family of Jack A. Estes, 86, of Atlanta, announces his passing at his home on Sunday, May 18, 2025.

Visitation:  Wednesday, May 21, 2025 from 10 a.m - 12 p.m. at the Atlanta Christian Church.

Service:  Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 12 p.m. at the church.

Obituary

With great sadness, the family of Jack A. Estes, 86, of Atlanta, announces his passing at his home on Sunday, May 18, 2025.

Services for Jack will be held at the Atlanta Christian Church on Wednesday, May 21, 2025. Visitation will run from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., followed by the Funeral Services officiated by Pastor Paul Weber. Burial will follow at the Atlanta Cemetery.

Jack was born January 2, 1939, the son of Charles “Harry” Harrison and Mary Lee Coyle Estes. He was united in marriage to Carol Leesman on September 23, 1966. She preceded Jack in death on April 16, 2023.

Jack is survived by two children: Richard (Natalie) Estes and Staci (Clint Gordon) Estes, three grandchildren: Cayden Gordon, Makayla McCartney, and Kaitlyn McCartney; one sister, Beverly Buhrmester; and his beloved feline fur babies, Mindy and Molly.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; infant son, Bradley; one sister, Charlotte Jo Estes; and two brothers, William Estes and Richard Estes.

Jack had worked as a valued employee at the Lincoln Garment Factory, an over the road driver for Gully Transportation, and as a driver and maintenance employee for Nutrien Ag Solutions. He was a member of the Atlanta Christian Church, and enjoyed fishing, bowling, rooting for the Cubs, and spending time with his family.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Atlanta Christian Church, or an organization of the donor’s choice.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
