James Morgan Levi "Cricket", 89,
of Lincoln, passed away May 19, 2025 at St. Clara's
Manor.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry
& Bennett Funeral Home. There will be no services at
this time.
James was born August 12, 1935, in Lincoln, IL., the
son of Morgan Levi and Louise (Stuan) Levi. He
married JoAnn Awe on June 28, 1959. He proudly
served his country in the United States Navy. James
retired from Eaton after 38 years of service. He
loved Nascar and was a Richard Petty fan. He took
pride in meeting Richard. He was active in the
community and served on the hospital board, as an
alderman, a Jr. achievement advisor, and a biddy
basketball coach. He was a hard worker and a simple
man that loved his family.

Survivors include his wife JoAnn
Levi, daughter Melissa Levi and her companion Pat
Chamberlain, brother Kenneth Levi, and several
nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was
preceded in death by his parents, infant sister
Betty Jean Levi, and sisters Joyce Voyles and Mary
Fuller.
Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society
of Logan County.
