Middletown's Dunlap House: The last known wooden stagecoach inn in
Illinois

On October 30, I had the
privilege as Logan County Tourism Director, and in cooperation with
the Village of Middletown, to provide a tour of the significant
Dunlap House.
The group of individuals was from
the Woodford County Historical and Genealogical Society, whose focus
is the 8th Judicial Circuit.
Guy Fraker, a well-known Abraham
Lincoln enthusiast in Lincoln, and author, was the tour guide. It is
known that Abraham Lincoln stayed in the Dunlap House while
traveling the 8th Judicial Circuit.

This was an exciting trip for
the 10 people throughout Woodford County who attended the event.
Congrats to another Logan County community for preserving our
history.
