Thursday night the body shop area at Collision Concepts was wall to wall people as a large crowd turned out for the annual Pink Pumpkin Auction to benefit the American Cancer Society. It is estimated that there were more than 200 people who came out with checkbooks in hand to bid and buy one or more of the wonderful items that had been donated by local businesses, organizations and individuals.

The numbers have not been finalized yet, but based on the information at hand, this year the auction in its entirety, with live auction items, silent auction items, luminaria sales, mystery bag sales and cash donations is going to reach or exceed $25,000. All that money will be sent directly to the American Cancer Society to aid in patient support and research.

The 2025 Junior Miss Logan County Fair Courtney Cecil and Little Miss Vayda Farmer spent the evening Thursday at the Pink Pumpkin Auction to benefit the American Cancer Society. They helped show off each of the items offered in the live auction while auctioneers Ty and Cody Tucker kept the crowd bidding.

One of the special events of the evening was the return of the 2024 Little Miss Logan County Olivia Harmsen who put together a basket of her “favorite things” and donated it to the auction. When her box came up for bid, she was invited to join the current royalty in showing off the item to the audience.
