			College will host free FAFSA Workshops to assist high school seniors 
			and prospective college students in completing the Free Application 
			for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2026-27 academic year.  
			 
			Workshops will be held at each regional Heartland location. 
			 
			Tuesday, October 28, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., HCC Pontiac (211 East 
			Madison Street, Pontiac) 
			 
			Thursday, October 30, 5::00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., HCC Lincoln (2201 
			Woodlawn Rd., Lincoln) 
			 
			Thursday, November 6, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., HCC Main Campus, 
			Community Commons Building, room 1112 (1500 W. Raab Road, Normal) 
			 
			Financial aid professionals from Heartland will guide students and 
			their families through the FAFSA process, answer questions, and 
			provide personalized assistance with completing the form.  
			 
			There is no cost to attend, but pre-registration is required. 
			Participants can register online at heartland.edu or by calling the 
			Heartland Financial Aid Office at 309-268-8023.  
			 
			Participants should bring the following documents to ensure a smooth 
			FAFSA completion process:  
			 
			Driver’s license or state ID/social security number  
			 
			Alien Registration Number, if the student is not a U.S. citizen  
			 
			Banking information and/or Records of investments

			FSA ID in order to sign electronically  
			 
			2024 Federal Income Tax Returns and W-2 forms  
			 
			Documentation of any untaxed income received in 2024

			o Born before January 1, 2001  
			o Married  
			o Supporting a dependent  
			o A ward of the court or an orphan  
			o Served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces  
			 
			Seating is limited, and early registration is strongly encouraged.
