[October 21, 2025]  LINCOLN - Janet Runyon, 82, of Lincoln, IL, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, at St. Clara’s Rehab and Senior Care.

Service:  Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home

Obituary

Janet Runyon, 82, of Lincoln, IL, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025, at St. Clara’s Rehab and Senior Care.

Janet was born February 8, 1943, in Delavan, IL, the daughter of Howard and Helen (Duncan) Runyon.

Janet is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gerald and Joseph Runyon; her infant sister, Lois Jean Runyon; and her four-legged friend, Katie.

Janet attended Delavan schools and started her career at the glass factory when it was Ball-Foster Glass and retired from Ardaugh Glass after 30 years of service. Janet was a very faithful reader of the Bible and enjoyed listening to gospel music.

 

Funeral services for Janet will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will take place one hour prior from 10:00 - 11:00 am also at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan, IL, at 1:00 pm. Memorial donations may be made in Janet’s name to the Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois.
