Manor Care Nursing Home in Clinton on Sunday, April 20, 2025. |

Graveside Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on
Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the McLean Cemetery.

Obituary
Dorothy M. Ross, 84, of Clinton,
formerly of McLean, passed away at Manor Care
Nursing Home in Clinton on Sunday, April 20, 2025.
Graveside Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on
Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the McLean Cemetery.
Cremation Rites were accorded.
Dorothy M. Grubbs was born November 4, 1940, the
daughter of Peona and Ruby Russell Grubbs. She was
united in marriage to Teddy L. Ross on June 20,
1964. He preceded Dorothy in death on Dec. 18, 1999.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Sandra (Tom)
Swearingen, Kimberly Johnson, Marvin Ross, and Doug
(Erica) Ross; thirteen grandchildren; and numerous
great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by daughter Diana Huffman,
sister Ann Girdler and brother Randy Grubbs.
Dorothy retired from Eaton in Lincoln and had worked
at the DIXIE Truckers Home in McLean and Country
Aire Restaurant in Atlanta. She enjoyed dancing,
especially line dancing, and listening to her son’s
band. |
