Obituary
Sue Weindorf, 80, of Lincoln, IL,
passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3,
2025, in the comfort of her own home surrounded by
love.
Sue was born November 16, 1944, in Lincoln, IL, the
daughter of Desmond and Mary (Bowns) Weindorf. She
married Lynn Dale “Sarge” Gray on February 14th,
1997, in Lincoln, IL. He preceded her in death on
October 23, 2019.
Sue is survived by her children, Laura (Rich)
Sallie, Bob (Steph) Presswood, Vern (Brandy)
Presswood, and Shawna Presswood; her 16
grandchildren; and her bunches & bunches of
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her
husband; two brothers; one sister; four
grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.
Sue found joy in spending hours on her computer,
playing games and building lasting friendships with
people from all over the world, as well as curling
up with a good book. |
Most of all, Sue treasured the time
she shared with her children, grandchildren, and
great-grandchildren.
Services for Sue will be held at
11:00am on Monday, September 8, 2025, at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln, IL.
Visitation will take place one hour prior from
10:00-11:00am also at the funeral home. Burial will
follow the services at Old Union Cemetery in
Lincoln, IL. Memorial donations may be made in Sue’s
name to The Wounded Warrior Project.
