Logan County Genealogical and Historical Society to host program on New Salem Village Sep. 15

[September 15, 2025]  The Logan County Genealogical and Historical Society will host a program on September 15, 2025, by Trevor Thompson, Site Services Specialist at New Salem Village, Petersburg. Most of us have visited the Village, a reproduction of the frontier settlement where Abraham Lincoln lived for a few years, where he clerked at the store, and where he began his journey into adulthood. Thompson will give an overview of the major maintenance project which recently updated the buildings and addressed preservation issues. Thompson will share information about the Village that will give behind- the-scenes details we thought we knew.
